Jane Bayly
Jane co-founded a cappella theatre company CRYING IN PUBLIC PLACES with whom she co-devised Crying in Public Places – A Celebration in Tears, JUMP!, Skin, Secret Life, toured extensively for 12 years and produced 3 independent CDs. CIPP’s work in progress, In the Darkness, was performed at the 2006 Adelaide Cabaret Festival. Jane appeared at La Mama recently in Dorothy Hewett’s The Chapel Perilous, and for Aphids in Cynthia Troup’s Care Instructions.

She has also worked with the Keene/Taylor Theatre Project/La Mama (home land, neither lost nor found), Playbox (The Newspaper of Claremont Street, King Lear), Yes/No People (Stomp!), MTC/Arena Theatre (Blabbermouth), HotHouse (BURN), Handspan (Viva La Vida: Frida Kahlo), Melbourne Festival Fringe (Infectiou$), FEIPP (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Arena Theatre (The Women There…, Brecht x 2) and Artist Services (Mum’s The Word). Recent TV and film credits include MDA, Blue Heelers, Legacy of the Silver Shadow, Neighbours, Learning to Fly and Interference.

As a teaching artist (performance-making), Jane has worked with MTC, the Victorian Arts Centre, St Martins Youth Arts Centre, RandomACTS and numerous schools. She is currently recording Domestica, a collection of original songs. Member of Actor’s Equity since 1985.
